CZ 38 Firing Pin Retainer
« on: April 14, 2024, 04:22:09 PM »
Hello,

Does anyone have any leads to where I might find
a CZ 38 firing pin retainer?

Numrich doesn’t have one currently.

Thank you!

I did a check on these other parts places and came up empty:

Marstar.ca
Schludershots.com
Poppertsgunparts.com

I pulled my CZ 38 to look at the actual part so I would recognize it in any pictures in case it wasn't properly labeled on the websites.

I also checked gunbroker.com...it's amazing at how much people are trying to sell this model for in working condition.

Mine works well.  I have an old high school buddy whose father brought one back from WWII.  He told me that it slam fires.

I have had it for a long while and have shot it a number of times in the past.  Took it out this past weekend and it broke on the 5th round.  The firing pin and spring landed right in front of me.  I knew it was missing something else, but I couldn’t find any other parts.  I didn’t realize exactly what I was missing until I got home to examine it closer.

Thanks for trying to help!

There is a parts dealer in Poland that has been around for a long time that carries rare vintage CZ and other gun parts... I haven't purchase anything from him, but he does communicate  well when I email him.  You might drop him a email .

I'm shock as well on the pricing for a decent condition CZ38  these days!

I got in contact and he had my part!  It arrived a few days ago and now my gun is back in working order!  Thank you for the tip!
