Just not MY new pistol.  Volunteer Range Safety Officer was breaking in his new pistol.  With less than 100 rounds through it, he offered to let me try it.  I told him I would, but that I wanted to try it at 100 yards instead of 10.  He agreed.
I still had my own video gear set up so I was able to record the session.

I had to kid the guy about his new gun.  Overall, I think it is a fine gun, just a little tight, mainly because it is new, fresh out of the box.  I was concerned about two things before shooting the new pistol.  The first was the 124 gr FMJ ammo that I was not familiar with at all, and second, I didn't have my prescription open sight focus glasses, so the sight were both a little fuzzy.  Turns out the ammo was fine and my eyesight wasn't too bad, although I can definitely do better with my closer focus glasses.

But my RSO buddy was extremely happy that his brand new gun shot so well, and I was pleasantly surprised that his 10 yard zero was dead on and so my guess at the holdover wasn't too bad.  Also, I already had 60 rounds downrange shooting my P-10S today (video in the morning) so my eyes were not fresh.

I did like having a manual safety on this carry gun.  No wonder it is so popular.

I'm thinking...maybe with a red dot and some good ammo, the little gun would be a shooter!

Thanks.  The little Sig pistol is very nice, but, since this one was fresh out of the box on Tuesday morning, it was very tight and stiff.  The trigger wasn't terrible, however.  And I'm just glad the factory sights were darn near perfect, otherwise I could have spent 20 rounds chasing a hold point to compensate for the sights being off.  I didn't have to do that.

My friends were very surprised at how well this went.  I didn't let on that I was quite pleasantly surprised as well!  I still have three Sig P-226 style 9mm pistols, I just don't shoot them often.  They are fine firearms and I am hoping my friend is happy with his 365 for years to come.
