I had not shot the little 3.5" barrel subcompact since February, but lots of practice with the P-10F apparently carried over to the P-10S.  They both have Holosun sights which are a perfect match for the B-6C black 8 ring targets that I've been using lately.
I didn't know what to expect, but I quit worrying after the first 5 shots, which consisted of four 10 ring hits and one shot a little lower than the others.

The results I can achieve are eyesight limited.  I cut out some 10-20 second rest periods between shots when I rest my eyes some.  If the dot appears oblong instead of round, it is an indication that I need to look at something else for a few seconds at least.  Usually the oblong shape has the long axis vertical, and I will tend to place the dot slightly lower than when it appears round, thus moving the shots down a little.  This may have happened after the first 5 shots, not sure.  The gun didn't change.  But the change is small in the grand scheme of things.

I'm also happy that I only had one shot a little high right outside of the group of 19 shots.  Usually when I haven't shot a pistol in a while, I'll throw maybe 10-15% of the shots just due to inconsistent trigger manipulation.  This trigger is similar enough to the P-10F where that only happened once on Tuesday.

This is fun.  This isn't easy.

More proof that short barreled pistols aren't inaccurate just because the barrels are short.

Does the short grip cause you some issues holding the pistol vs. the larger/longer frames on the compact and full size guns?  Or do you use a compact magazine in the small pistol to give you more griping surface?  Seems like I remember someone talking about the spacers for the larger magazines use in the smaller pistols but I don't remember if you'd bought/tried them.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Yes, I use a sleeve on a P-10F magazine to keep the distance from the block to the red dot the same as with the F.  I do the same when shooting the C from the block, just with a shorter sleeve.  It isn't a big deal--I can shoot the C and S with their magazines, it just isn't as comfortable as with the longer magazine and sleeve.  I tried the long magazine without the sleeves and that did not work for me.  With the sleeves, all three pistols grip similarly, and that is a good thing when consistency is the order of the day.

Open sight subcompacts are harder to be consistent with just because of the shorter sight radius.  But, once a red dot is installed, the barrel length doesn't have much effect on group size once the zero is adjusted.  I hope to shoot the S at 200 yards next week.  I'm encouraged by the good results on Tuesday.  I like going to the mountains with a few good recent targets!
