I need a different scope
« on: May 09, 2024, 08:20:53 PM »
I went to the range today to figure out why my rifle, Royal 16” barrel wasn’t consistent.  Turns out it was the Bogg death grip.  The stock is such that the only place I can grip it is too close to the action I guess.   From a bench laying the gun in a Caldwell lead sled it shot fine.  But I need a better scope.

I need at least up to 9 power, I do not need a BDC dial as I will never shot beyond 50 yards with this gun, but I want to be confident on head shots.  On smaller bullseyes, even at 25 yards , my Bushnell is blurry.   Any suggestions ?   I bought the Cz 1” rings.

I can’t figure out how to post pictures of my targets or I would.

Thanks
Dave

You can't go wrong with Leupold, and Vortex is decent too. For value, I've been pleased with Riton and Meopta.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

My last two scope purchases have been Athlon and I've been impressed.  They have good reticles and track well.  The glass is really good too.

Cheers,
Toby

I like the Vortex scopes.  Primary Arms makes some nice budget priced optics.
