First trip was me and my wife. I shot my M&P Shield 1.0 9MM to make sure the Holosun was sighted in right after putting it back on the slide. Good to go. Just shot one group. Using the PD 115 grain hollow points and Blue Dot powder.
Then it was the two 5" 9MM M&Ps. A 1.0 PC with Holosun and a 2.0 FDE with iron sights. Been wanting to try the Winchester 124 grain FMJ NATO ammo in the 1.0 and finally got around to it. The 1.0 didn't do as well as the 2.0 (but the 2.0 has an Apex Tactical barrel in it.
The 2.0 also had a screw on compensator. Been wondering about trying one as I really can feel the difference in the ported 1.0 PC model. The compensator works, too. I could tell the reduced muzzle rise vs. no compensator.
My wife shot her Equalizer 9MM and once again did so well with it she's finally decided to replace her Shield 1.0 PC 9MM with the Equalizer. Reason for the Equalizer is the easier to rack the slide design and it uses the same magazines as my Shield Plus. Now, when we go out together I carry my Shield Plus so we have commonality of magazines. Ammo was Blazer 115 grain FMJ.
Shield 9MM at 5 yds. 5 shots

1.0 5" M&P 9MM 5 shots at 5 yds.

2.0 M&P 9MM. 5 shots at 5 yds.

Equalizer 10 shots at 5 yds.

The next day I went by myself to shoot the gun I really wanted to shoot. That old 1.0 M&P sub compact .40 S&W. It's the one with the carbon fiber looking frame. The frame is smooth as.., well, too smooth. Had to install the soft rubber grip sleeve to help hold onto it. Used slide sent off for machining for a K series Holosun (which I've since replaced with a Holosun EPS Carry green dot) and a satin nickel refinishing job. Ammo was a mix of what works well in other M&P .40's and my pet coated lead bullet load for the CZ pistol .40's.
The pistol in it's current forum. This was a sort of panic buy. Once again the VA houses of legislature are controlled by anti constitutional members of the blue party and had passed 10 round limit unlawful laws to the governor. I wanted to have a decent shooting 10 round pistol just in case. If I can only have 10 rounds I want it to be 10 big rounds.

Five rounds of 180 grain hollow points, AAC ammo loaded with Hornady XTP bullets.

Ten rounds of Winchester 180 grain hollow points.

Ten rounds of the Missouri Bullet Co. 140 coated lead rounds using Herco powder. These things seem to do much better in my CZ pistols.

I will say, I'm just not holding as "hard" as I used to. I'm finding the more force I squeeze the grip with the more apt I am to bounce the dot or iron sights much farther around/across the point of aim than I do with a softer grip. That and these darn progressive lenses that go in the garbage can in July when I get my next eye/glasses appointment/check up. PITB to try to work on a gun with these things on, too.
