I was thinking about getting the CGW spring kit for my P01. Is the extended firing pin necessary when installing the 13# hammer spring?

No. There are a lot of variables involved. Install the spring and try it with your ammo. It may not be an issue.
If it's an issue, then install the extended FP.

I'm running a 13# hammer spring with the stock firing pin and Rami firing pin spring and have had no FTF. The stock firing pin should be fine.

The Rami firing pin spring is not as strong as the stock firing pin spring but still gets the job done.
