Did I mention we got to shoot the Classic?
« on: June 20, 2024, 09:06:49 PM »
All of my years at CZF, and I have never once owned a full size CZ 75, or 75B. As a matter of fact, I had never shot one, just the clones - when I got my first CZ pistol, it was a Compact, not a full size, and I stayed with mostly compact models, only a few full size like the P-09, SP01 Phantom, and P-10F.
Then a buddy asked me if I would take this one out and see how it does...and yes, that's Da Boy

It was quite interesting to get back behind a DA/SA steel frame hammer fired pistol after 7 years of poly frame, striker fired! I did not do as well as I hoped and Da Boy was somewhat disappointed as well, but we both said the same thing - needs more exploration, because it's probably us, not the gun. Blast from the past, literally.
Who knows, I might be buying this one if I save my shekels carefully!

I bought a 75B in 9mm years ago, but it became my Kadet host and bullseye match gun.  I rarely shot it with the 9mm slide.  When I did, I found the recoil to be pretty harsh after shooting the polymer guns for so much of the last decade!

But, with a CGW 10x bushing and a red dot, the accuracy is spectacular.  My particular 75B factory bushing was not good, I never could get it to group well compared to the other 9mm guns until I installed the bushing, and its been fine ever since.  I just like shooting the other pistols more.  The 97B never felt too harsh either, it's only the 75B.
