Polish work and cajunizing P01 Omega
« on: July 18, 2024, 10:24:22 AM »
Hi,

So I plan on putting in the Omega package into my new P01 Omega. I also plan on following this tutorial for polishing work: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=66147.0

I was also advised to do a little sanding on the back of the sear where it engages the hammer, just enough to knock off the black. Would you agree on that? I will order an extra sear to have as spare in case I mess anything up. In several threads on this forum I have read a user Burningsquirrels write "as always, any time you modify a sear, always go through the pre-flight safety checklist before running live ammunition through your pistol. a pre-flight safety checklist can be found by clicking here.", but the link does not work anymore. What are the steps to check functionality after working on the sear?

Do you advice any more work done besides the omega package, the above tutorial on polishing and possibly the sear?

I have been contemplating buying the stainless steel guide rod and the old style 85 trigger with over travel screw, but I am leaning against both of them. Do you see any benefits?
