CZ 75 D PCR loaded chamber indicator (LCI)
« on: August 16, 2024, 03:28:02 PM »
How do you check / tighten the loaded chamber indicator on a CZ 75 D PCR so it doesn't come off?

Tool required?

Thanks!

Use a proper sized gunsmith screwdriver. If it will come loose take it out and Loctite it in then forget about it.

thanks SI VIS PACEM PARRABELLUM

Is it removed from the top of the slide, where there are perpendicular slots around the indicator?

Can it be kept off ? Or does it have to be on all times ? If so then why ? Just curious. I want a PCR but I always hear and see these LCI's sticking. I just watched a video by Cajun gun works and they said the LCI on the 97 was necessary for proper "lock-up" when the gun is working. I wonder if this is true on the PCR ?

The 97 is not the PCR and it's a different LCI. That said where do you hear about the LCI sticking? There was a thread a few years back about ONE that stuck but nothing else. I own 3 PCR's one with north of 30K rnds now and other than one LCI coming loose I've never had one stick. You can take it out but you just open an avenue for lint and crud to get in the chamber if the gun is carried.
