Trigger bar lifter spring falling out.

My original trigger bar lifter spring was popping out of position and causing dead trigger issues. I ordered the CGW replacement and it looked much better than the original and seemed to fix my issue through 300 rounds. I was at the range today and after about 100 rounds the dead trigger issue returned. I removed the slide and the lifter spring was completely gone. My theory is that the hole in the frame where the spring is installed is a bit oversized. Is there any fix for this? Has anyone experienced this issue and fixed it?

Assuming this is a later generation P-07/09 not a very early model ( you don't say ) there should be a steel pin with a hole in it where the spring sits in the frame just above the mag catch. If that is missing you'll need it. If it's missing and the hole is oversized it may be possible to epoxy a new insert in.
Proper tension on the spring is important as well.
Without actually seeing the gun or at least some good pics it's hard guess with certainty.

I thought I remembered that there was supposed to be a pin in that hole. I don’t see one there. It is a newer model, 2021.
I’ll add pics to the post later after church. Looking like a trip back to the mother ship may be needed. Hopefully the horror stories about CZ customer service are not true.

If the pin is gone and it's under warranty I would definitely send it back.

yes it should be. They still list the warranty as 5 years to the original purchaser.

Well you bought it used so technically they don't have to honor it. Though from my experience they don't even ask for the receipt. Do you know the original owner? Maybe ask him for a copy.

I troubleshot a friend's C100 for him that did the same thing. Then my P07 Duty started doing it too. I assumed it was only on the early models. Apparently not.

• My take on the issue is that the grove in the bottom of the trigger bar isn't deep enough. My plan was to run a thin Dremel cut off disk down the grove and add a small amount of depth to that grove, but I never got to try that.

• My backup plan was to drill a small hole in the bottom of the trigger bar and LocTite a small teat (like a stainless case tumbling media dowel) into that hole. Inside the grip, slightly enlarge the existing pocket. Then locate a very small dia coil spring (like an extractor spring ?) Finally, seat the coil spring in the pocket and restrain the upper end with the teat on the bottom of the trigger bar. IOW, convert the wire spring to coil spring which is easier to guide, retain and restrain.

• The seating hole for the existing wire spring does have way too much clearance. You can close this up by stripping off the electrical insulation on a #22 wire (think telephone wire) to a length of 0.20" and seating that in the hole first.

I got no answers, but a ton of ideas.

Doubtful RTV obviously dries soft so the spring would just rock back and forth till it popped loose again. That end of the spring needs to fit snuggly into the pin that should be there which allows it very minimal movement.

I did call CZ. They had me fill out the warranty repair request form on their website. I also called CGW. They are being very helpful since the last lifter spring wax purchased from them. I sent pictures of the spring install location and the trigger bar where the spring rides. Here’s a link to those pictures. Hopefully it works.

That hole does look a bit wonky and the pin appears to be gone. See what CGW says about it. They are very helpful for sure.

CZ customer service sent me a prepaid Fedex label and the PO7 is currently on it's way back to the mothership. Hopefully they get it fixed on the first attempt.

They should get it squared away easily. Service can be hit and miss these days though so report back on what they do.
