P-07 firing pin issue
« on: April 09, 2025, 12:44:30 PM »
My P-07 is unable to feed the top round from a magazine.  The cartridge is getting stuck under the firing pin which is protruding through the breach face.  How do I fix this?  Pics below.

Well at this point DO NOT even attempt to fire the gun till it's fixed, it is not safe. Field strip the gun and remove the firing pin retaining pin and remove the firing pin block and firing pin. The defect should be obvious. The firing pin retaining pin could be broken, the return spring could be broken or there could be debris in the channel holding things up. Replace the offending part and drive on.

Agree w/ Si vis on this.  Your problem is with the firing pin retaining pin, crud in the firing pin channel, firing pin spring or a combination or those.

Let us know what you determine the problem is

The FPRP was indeed broken, and the gun seems to function fine.  I will test it with live ammunition tomorrow.  Thanks!
