Shooting my 75b stainless this season
« on: April 20, 2025, 10:58:30 PM »
Decided to create a new thread on using my 75b stainless this season and will chronical my performance, the guns performance, and any observations.  I’ll be shooting it in both IDPA (SSP) & USPSA (Production), so must manually lower the hammer during make ready.

Our first match of the season was this past weekend’s IDPA match where I had no issues manually lowering the hammer.  I did fairly well, winning my division (SSP) & coming in 10th overall.

I previously installed CGW’s ultra lite kit, TRUGLO sites from CZC and Lok grips.  DA trigger is smooth and light, and while not as crisp as CGW’s pro kit, I’m satisfied with the results.

I use an Askins/ avenger style leather holster from Warbird leather that works well for me.

Next match is 2nd Sat of May and will report back

For awhile I wanted one of the stainless pistols.  Then I realized I'd probably never carry it concealed.  Sure wish they'd made them in CZ75 Compact or P01 models.  I have carried those concealed.

I'll be waiting on/reading your reports.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Nice !

The matte stainless is my second favorite CZ (right behind the pre-b 75).

Me too, as the compacts are my preference (PCR, PO1 Omega, P07). I did get my PCR hard chromed when I sent it to CGW for their pro pkg.  Sweet shooting gun.  It’s on top of my P01 Omega

Hopefully my performance won’t disappoint  :D

My stainless is matte as well.  I do prefer matte over polished stainless, and I happened upon the matte one & grabbed it

Tanner,

Could you provide some more information on your holster.  Only holster I have is a Red Hill Tactical which is not legal in ASI or IDPA.

Thanks.

It’s from Warbird Leather, Paul Tripodi. Below is his “site” , mostly pics of his work.  His work is good & timely.  It’s IDPA legal for sure

My holster looks like this

His contact is Paul@warbirdleather.com

Best to email him with what you want

Excellent, looking forward to your reports ! I occasionally take my stainless out to matches but had some problems with the plus 2 magazines from my shadow 2 not working so good. All other magazines work great.

Shot USPSA today.  Was the warmest match all year with sunny skies & temps in the mid 80s.

Fortunately I came in 1st in production div; again, having no issue with manually decocking the 75b.  The gun shot where I aimed it; I need to work on my transitions.

1st stage was a weak hand only stage- which set the tone for the rest of the match for many, had a “Mike” with a round hitting the black :o

Other stages were nothing out of the ordinary, & I progressively got better.  I do enjoy shooting this gun.  It fits me well & does not fail me- what more can one ask.

Next match is our clubs outlaw defensive pistol- a mix of IDPA & USPSA Weds evening & the IDPA on Sat.

Will report back

There's just something about a gun that fits/feels good in your hand and is reliable and shoot good groups.

To be clear, to run the 75B w/safety you have to run it decocked all the way down, not to 1/4 cock position right?

Is this the same for both IDPA and USPSA?

Correct.   For the safety variants ( non decockers) the shooter must manually lower the hammer all the way to be in compliance with the rules from both games for production div( USPSA) or SSP (IDPA).
