Shooting in Czech Republic as a tourist?

Hi all,

I’m a tourist from the netherlands and i will be visiting your beautiful country next week together with my girlfriend. I have always had an great interest in guns, but in my country the rules and regulations are very strict. I dont have a gun/shooting license.

Therefore I really would like to shoot some guns while visiting your country. I am currently in Slovenia and will be driving to your country next week. I was wondering if anyone know any good shooting ranges where I can shoot with/or without an instructor and rent guns and buy ammo for a good price? I know prague has a lot of options, but i was thinking something less busy without many tourists is perhaps cheaper and more fun.

Being an American, I have no idea, but if you do find out please share! Someday my wife and I would love to visit Prague ourselves. And, actually, your fine country as well!

I don't know specifically about ranges, but I visited the CZUB store in Prague about 3 years ago, and I was told I could "look, but not touch" since I didn't have a valid Czech gun license.  I visited another gun store in a much smaller city this year in the spring, and didn't even ask to handle anything. The shop assistant there didn't offer, even though I was talking with her about the two CZ-45's they had for sale.  I'm not sure if its a legal thing or a liability thing.  Good luck!

If you really want to shoot on vacation, what you describe can be done all over the US.

Get a cheap flight and go to Battlefield Vegas — they’ve got just about everything!
