Hi Compact 40,

Have you ever tried rifles or shotguns?

            Take care,

When I was a kid I shot my dads 22 rifle. I also dated a guy that had a sks that belonged to his dad. Plus a freind let me shoot his AK47. Cool deal. Recently I got to shoot a CZ75 and I enjoyed it very much. I think it was a 9mm. Armoredman wants me to shoot the shotgun we have but I am not sure about it yet. I know it would scare the heak out of any intruder trying to break in my home.

An olympic Canadian skeet champion was a woman(small framed), it is my profond gut feeling that women are better shots than men in many field.

Just watch out for the recoil, if Armoured-man shows you slowly the basics with low-recoiling load I just know you'll like it too(shotguns). Basic trigger control is well learned with a .22l.r., these basics should be tought to early in life.:hat

My 527 carbine in 7.62 x 39 is a bleepcat to shoot.
Very short and handy. Every woman who has seen it
            liked it very much:)

I think it the ideal CZ rifle for those young or smaller
shooters. Enough power for deer, and cheap to shoot.

No other company makes a comparable product.

Is that you CZ75ID in the pic? Just wondering.

I have seen alot of the CZ rifles and they are impressive. I have never shot one but maybe one day I will.

Armoredman also pointed out to me that I shot his Remmington 22 before he got rid of it. That was one sweet shooting rifle.

My now ex-fiance' (long story, don't ask) was quite good at "turkey shoots" using one of my Remington Model 31's.  She is only 5'4" and 120 lbs soaking wet in jeans.  It did hurt her a little once when she got here right "side" pinched behind the recoil pad when she mounted it wrong.  Other than that, she'd shoot every round I'd shoot, usually 10 to 15.

The gun she shot has a stock that was cut down about an inch and half or so.  My dad bought it before he knew it was cut on. :rolleyes  It's too short for my 6', 195 lb. frame but fit her pretty well as her arms aren't as long as mine so she wasn't all stretched out like she was shooting any of my other shot guns.

Loads used are low brass Winchester AA target or light target with 8 or 9 shot.

You've brought up an important factor SLM crew chief: ill-fitting longarms. Too many husbands would'nt cut up their favorite ex. rifle since the rifle would'nt fit them no more, many rifle companies have finaly understood this and now offer mfgr. shorter stocked rifles. CZ has done this with their Scout if I'm not mistaking. A proper fitting gun is a must for consistency in accurate shooting. If these simple step are not to be followed you'll end up with a stock design which as the header says: Punch...shoulder. Once hit baddly any human will have a tendency to flinch and this leads to bad shooting. Follow the trail of Annie Oakley:)

CP has refused to try the Mosin Nagant M38- something about being knocked into the next county....;)
I want to get her another Ruger 10/22, but winning that CZ .17 would probably be perfect for her.!:D

Thats right I refuse to try his Mosin. I refuse to be knocked into the next county. Oh one other thing I like my shoulder.

             SLM crew chief,

You don't have to talk about ex's we understand.  I personally don't like guns or rifles that kick like a mule.
