Kidding apart,

Compact have you looked at CZ-handles made out of Pink Ivory(type of wood) with a touch of ebony(for a fine look). Ask Hakan, I could send him some for you if you're interested:)

FF can you post a picture of it? It does sound pretty. But would it go nicely with a wonderfinish?

Hi Compact 40,

            Have a look at:
            www.cookwoods.com/Wood_African.htm
Click in the African wood section, you'll find Pink Ivory, if you click on the swatch you'll get a bigger picture(rendition is more reddish than actual dark pinkish). Is the wonderfinish black or nickel:\ ?

Pretty wood. Doesn't look that pink at all. I safed the website so Dave can look at it.

My wonderfinish is nicklefinish and black grips. Ask Armoredman (Dave) he can tell you for sure.

Wow - some nice stuff. What caught my eye was the striped Ebony, the Madagascar Rosewood, and the Mopane. The Rosewood would be especailly cool due to it soon to be unavailability.
The Wonderfinish is a nickel over tenifer. Looks like a brushed stainless.

The suppliers are always discontinuing certain kind of woods & re-importing another type. My supplier had in BIG quantities: Gaiac, Flamme Amboine, etc. but does'nt carry them no more. Some other type of nice figured wood are there instead. Rosewood has always been a favorite for gripmakers(nice finish, stable, gives off a nice smell while working it), but is fairly common. Hakan's
Cocobolo is of higher quality(nicer patterned, high density) from my point of view, this would certainly highlight any Nickel finish handgun.

I liked the woods I saw to. Thanks honey for clearing up the wonderfinish mystery.
