Broke in the compact....sswweeeett!

I gotta rant and rave about my gun.....K? K!  I shot my compact the first day I got it..about 3 weeks ago. Maybe about 100-150 rnds...did ok..But today I went to a NICE indoor range about 30 minutes from home.  Brought my 83 and my compact.  I ran more than 300 rnds through the comp. and by the time I was done, I was running 25-30 rnds through a 2" hole at 30 ft.  With 1 flyer!  I know its not the best shooting...but not bad!  The guy next to me had a custom shop Kimber that was doing about the same...we watched each other shoot and talked...nice guy with a nice gun.
I am a little better than that with my 83...but I have fired it ALOT more.....Just had to spread the word...nice gun.

Shoot well

Oh man, you guys with these compacts are killing me! :)

I was really leaning towards buying a small Kahr, but these compacts are sure starting to look nice.

Ouch!  You're twisting my arm, hard, for a PCR.  Congrats on the good shooting... :)

The compact is nice, but it is no Kahr as for size and weight. I like practicing with a compact size pistol and the CZ compact fits that well. But for carry, I personally think it is a tad big/heavy. Or at least it doesn't conceal well on me. I'm sure others have better luck.

f t m,

Do you have a Kahr (which one)? Is it used for carry and do you recommend it. I'm considering the Polymer Covert in 9mm for carry.

The thing that concerns me about the Kahrs is they are *so* small. A 9MM is no cannon, but it would seem to me that a PCR would be somewhat more controllable.

I'd love to hear from somebody whose shot both a k9 or mk9 and a compact.

Davekoch,
I love my compact...but have shot the h*ll out of a K40 over
the last couple of years...I will only praise this gun.  ITS a nice nice gun.  I think the size is just right and will have one
when I can swing it.  Perfect carry gun...if it held 10 rnds
of 40..but close none the less.  SMOOTH dao trigger with long pull, recoil is not too much and dependable as is a CZ.  Accurate also......how does that sound?  I have also shot the smaller MK series...it is more concealable buy holds less rnds and it a bit small in my hands for the 40 round...shoot one if you can.....shoot well

Got my P9 2 weeks ago, put approximately 1000 rds through it in 3 outings. I got a little carried away with my "breaking in" hehehe. No failure whatsoever, very nice to shoot. The trigger is not bad at all for a DAO. This probably will be my carry gun.

Enemies have to sleep. Don't they?

Plastic Kahr ...I heard from my gun smith...the poly Kahr as having problems with the poly rails "bowing' or forming an arc.
Dont know anything else about it...apparently Kahr is on top of the problem...shoot well
