Well, I took my new CZ 75B to the range tonight.  Man, what a shooter!  I didn't have a chance check group sizes since tonight was bowling pin night, but I can tell you that my times to clear the table (5 pins) ran in the six second range, about half of what they are when I shoot my S&W.
Once I get this trigger smoothed out this will be one terrific pistol.  Actually, the trigger already feels a bit smoother than it did right out of the box.  I'll probably wait until I've put 500 rounds through it to decide whether to have a professional trigger job done.
This gun has got to be the biggest sleeper in the industry right now.  No where else will you get this much quality for so little money ($319 delivered) and a hicap mag to boot.

Let me tell you a short story:

Yesterday I took my CZ Mil to the range, there were about 5 or 6 other shooters there, and after about 15 minutes of shooting, I noticed that I was the only one shooting (?) where did everybody go?  Am I the only one here?  Nope the other guys have simply stopped shooting and were just watching over my shoulder, they were impressed by my groups and my gun. When I stopped to reload, the range Master approached me and asked: Is that a CZ?  I said yes, Oh that explains it all he said. The he turned to the crowd and said IT IS A CZ!!!
Then I realized that I had less than 3 inches groups at 25 yards, while the rest had 16 inches groups at 25 feet.  CZs are just so accurate that it is scary. Wont you said?

It is not me the gun did it all!!! I swear.

Good choice of tool.

And it just gets better all the time. One day everyone will realize what great handguns CZs truly are.

You're too humble, Carlos:  3" groups at 25 yards takes a good gun, but it also takes a pretty good shooter...  Even when shooting from a rest.

Jeez, Carlos, I am happy with two inch groups at 25 feet! At 25 yards, my little compact gets a little wide. I keep 5 out of six in the 9 ring on a b-27 with the Witness at 25 yards, but I am beginning to suspect I'll do better with a new CZ - not sure, but always willing to try it out!

CZs are one instance where Americans were not trendsetters and had the best toys first.
the other countries around the world have used CZs for many a year.

Who thinks a CZ85 Combat SA would sell well? That would be a real tackdriver!

PS what does your Rangemaster shoot??  Which one of those guys wants a CZ
now?

Remember CZ75ID that Czechoslovakia was under the heel of communist oppression, and as such we were not allowed free trade with them. It was recognized by many even then that the CZ-75 was a great gun, but it was very difficult to get one. Personally I would not even own a S&W or Ruger auto, I just don't care for them.

Just woundering what should a shooter expect from there gun at 25 yard fron the bench? i have a cz 40b my best was 5 in a 2 inch group, then I had 3 shots about 2 inches from that and then i had 2 flyers? should i expect better?
I know that at 25 yards i can put 10 rounds trought a Perps chest. But not 10 through the heart!

When you get 5 shots in a 2 inch group at 25 yards and then 3 and 2 at varying distances suggests that something beside the gun is at play -- like the shooter or ammo.

Five shots in a 2 inch group is pretty good at 30 feet for most guns and shooters.

First off, comments on group size...

I'm happy if I can shoot 4" groups from 10 yards when shooting offhand.  Then again, once I've settled into a pistol, I can do it with any of them I've got.

Shooting from a bench, I can usually pull 4"-5" groups at 25 yards, but I'm not a fanbleeptastic pistolero, either.  In fact, I'm not even a pistolero, I just like to kill paper...

Also, $319 delivered?!  Wow!  I thought I did good at $349 plus tax.  Oh, well, can't win 'em all.  At least I didn't buy the other one I saw at the show for $375...

The great thing about the CZ-75 is that it fits.  I have found one person who did not think the CZ-75 fit perfect upon first holding it, but just the one.

i agree when you say it's the biggest sleeper.. and i've been getting the same comments from people at the ranges about my 75dao...  people are puzzled when i say it's a CZ..  and then when i say it was only $295 w/ 2 high caps, you should see the faces i get.. :)

glad you like the gun, happy shooting!
