CUZTOM CZ75SA TEST-FIRE
« on: April 30, 2002, 02:48:19 AM »

I  Finally  shot my CZ75SA on Sunday. After 10 fast rounds for reliability testing.

Double-Tapping the target from Offhand, Standing @ 25 yards away,

Got two perfect 'eyes' above the Bulleye as a reward!
Was able to near duplicate such..and keep the rounds flying fast, but well centered if i concentrated.

New gun, new sight pattern (mmc white-outline tritium bar-dot) and no rest.I wanted to see what kind of performance the CZF 75SA would give in an Match type enviroment.

Throught the  150 rounds of ammo. Wolf 180 gr. (fantastic!)and hot Speer 155 reloads (smokin!)

I was able to draw and fire very quickly and
smoothly from my NULL 97B super speed scabbard.

Rapid fire, double tapping,, and mag changes, more shooting. The CZF 75SA Hakans also stood up well.

Sunny Idaho day,  and my hands were sweating..but Thanks to our resident Grip Master..not slipping.

The 75SA's X-treme texture was neither rough nor slick.
by all accounts, it was Perfect for rapid fire shooting.

(When the 10mm and the hot 155s came into play.
i expected some 'bite" or such from the Witness.
Hakan's magic didn't let me down..the 10mm Blackouts
were right on the money!: )

75SA??

No stoppages, or FTEs, no broken SA trigger, Just flat-out
superb accuracy(when i did my part) and stone-cold CZ
reliability.

(So, I'm Really looking forward to shooting my custom 97!)

Never shooting the Wolf .40 until now. I wonder why i've
ever bought any other practice ammo, besides Wolf.

I like Wolf Gear, it's neat and doesn't cost much.
The Wolf Rang bag..USA made and a steal @ $14.00

Their new posters and the new Wolf longl-sleeved Tactical Tees.

The Wolf .380 is tops for my plinking needs. Now i get a crack at the .40 Ammo. Man! this is very accurate in my gun. I couldn't  ask for any better ammo.

Less recoil than the hot 155 gr Gold-Dots..i found it to
be seemingly mild for .40 fodder..

All 50 fed perfectly..and gave the suprising results. I'd
not expected any FMJ ammo to shoot so well.Fluke?
Well maybe, but i've never shot so well with my CZ40B
and Speer, Federal or other .40 ammo.

Testimony to the CZ's ergonomics, and custom touches..alongside  Wolf's quality, more than my out of practice pistol skills. I only had one flier off the paper,
and that was when i was really shooting fast. Trying to
get a jam from the MMC'ed Cee-Zed and the Wolf .40.

The CZ75SA is also not too big for a 110 pound woman
to shoot!

i know that most of you are far better shots than me. Are
younger and faster but.

Thanks to Marty and Mike at CZ-USA for the gun. MMC for the adjustable nights, and Hakan for the grips.and the Wolf .40 ammo.

Sunday was the Best shooting i've done in a long.long
time!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I used a Bushnell range finder to guage my distance
from the berm/targets. This was an honest 25 yards..and i'm
glad to say that i found the 10MM Federal 180 gr Hydra-Shok, also a surprise.

To be a very pleasant and accurate load for my tastes.
Not as hot as my reloads.. or the dynamic Winchester
175 grain Silvertip.

It really stood out in terms of recoil control.Paper targets,
pop cans, old stumps..not much escaped the 10mms wrath.

With my Hornady XTP reloads. a quick double tap had
so much energy@ 15 yards ,,it knocked the target board
backwards. It seemed You could feel the bullets slam thru the berm.

The first few shots, my GF was screaming."What is that
thing?? It sounds like a Cannon!"

Of course, she declined to shoot it:)  It's this kind of
raw power that i look for in a defensive gun for the outdoors.

IF you want a Hunting or extreme defense gun. Go 10 x10 mm and never look back again!

Sounds like you really had a lot of fun and are more than satisfied with the SA.
I guess now that you have shot it and had fun that you consider it a keeper.
Good to hear of these fun times from all shooters. Glad to hear the Wolf  ammo performed well for you. The 180s do not shoot well in my CZ40 or CZ100. Just goes to show you that different guns prefer different ammo. That's half the fun of a new gun.

I thiunk that tmy 97 has a even better trigger now.Same
hammer..getting equal sights, grips. With careful placement using the right .45 load and shooter (not me) it should be quite the sight to see.

The stock 97B shoots 1 1/4 from the bench (HANDGUNS) with Hardball.I still want to know what' the BEST .45 load for accuracy??

Also, my 75SA.40 from the bench in expert shooter's hands
would be quite impressive.

I've always said that the MMCed SA was "Born To Run"
The 97** fits me even better and is more powerfull.
and i'm just dying to shoot it!

I'm no expert..i just LUV CZs:)

PS,.,does 'she' shoot???

Glad to hear you like the new gun.  I won't rain on Wolf ammo, but offer you an option:  I've shot about 3 cases of 180-grain FMJ .40 reload ammo from Home Ammo Direct and it's pretty good stuff.  At $122/case, it's all I shoot and I shoot a lot of it.  FYI:

Good shooting.

Hi,Due to concerns about KBs. A lot of shooters are adverse to 180 gr in .40 caliber.

I like it in 10mm, but prefer the lighter ones for .40s.
A lot of people have asked Wolf for a 155 or 165 grain load.

If you are happy with shooting a lot of 180s..and this ammo is safe and reliable in CZs, i'm sure some of us here would like to hear more about it.

If ppl don't like Wolf Ammo, they can always buy elsewhere..what works good for me,,isn't always the best
for everyone.

I usually don't put much emphasis on accuracy with my
plinking fodder. So the Wolf.40s performance just flat-out astonishes me.

ROCK ON!

few look in here..and i doubt if anyone would like to see my
97B converted to SA, with the MMC sight and PCR hammer.

If they do.they can look at the MMC page on CZF SHOP.

I'll let you and hakan.eric..bob..know how it shoots.
