Most handgunners know I am good friends with Hakan Pek and I spoke to him this morning. Hakan's condition remains constant. He is not impressed with socialized medicine and he says they ration treatments as they see fit but have plenty of money for med-evac helicopters. His wife destroyed the engine in their SUV so he can use paying customers. Regards, Richard :D

Ouch! Hakan, please consider moving here! Socialized medicine just means everyone suffers equally!

Hi Folks,

I really appreciate everyone's concern regarding my situation...thanks a lot. I stil make grips but I give the priority to the previous orders I had. I had to stop taking orders for a while due to the uncertainty of the health situation, but now that I know it's going to be with me for a long time, I started to take orders again with the caution of some wait time. This is due to my production tempo is not being same as before because I have a dilemma of deciding whether I'll have a painless or productive day...every day. I can't work with the machines when I use medicine. I often choose the productive day, but these days are unfortunatelly (for you guys) followed by couple of painless days.

So...I'm here and hang'n on...taking orders for those who has no problem with waiting and I do deliver the grips to the patient ones.

Regards,

Hakan.

P.S. Situation with the SUV's engine got worse...it doesn't exist here so it'll be imported from the Netherlands...as if I didn't have enogh problems :rolleyes

Haken, hello. i`m not familiar with your particuar health issues but wish you all the best. I`ve looked at your work and to say the least, your products are gorgeous. How much time would a patient man have to wait  for you to catch up ? I`m intrested in your Shadow grips for CZ Compact in cocobolo or birch. Perhaps both :D

I feel with You, Hakan!
You should come here to Denmark.
I am from Norway, and with that perspective of view, I KNOW, that healthcare in Denmark is beyond the medieval treatment You are getting. They are more 'loosehanded' with their medicines here.
It's cheaper too! And more gun-clubs! -And warmer, for a longer time of the year... ;)
