Baby Eagle question

Hi,
I just added a Baby Eagle 9mm full size metal frame to my herd.  My question is on the magazines.  Mine will take 17 rds.  Everything I have seen only indicates 15 rd mags to be available.  Anyone know if they have upped the capacity?  The gun is new and the mags are OEM.  Also, I believe the newer ones have standard barrels and not the polygonal (?) ones that they used to make.  How can I tell which one is in it?  Do they look distinctly different when you look through them?

Lastly, if anyone else owns one and knows of tips or quirks I should be aware of, I would appreciate your input.

A number of the clone hi-cap mags take 17 rounds, but 16 is more common.  I've had Witness and Baby Eagle mags that take 16 and 17 rounds.

I haven't owned one, but have shot several.  Nice guns and at least as "ergonomic" as the CZs.  I don't remember ever hearing a complaint about a Baby Eagle.

I don't know about the magazine capacities, but you might want to watch out for if you purchase any aftermarket magazines for it. I got mine from CDNN and the followers for them didn't contact my slide release when the mag was empty. I ended up fixing this issue by using a welder to extend the slide release over the follower, then cleaned it all up. Works like a charm now no matter where I get magazines for it. This was on a .40 Baby Eagle though.

They are great guns but are a bit lacking in the aftermarket parts and accessories area. Wolff CZ75 recoil springs will fit and work in them if you want to change your spring. I'd hang onto that pistol though because they seem to be becoming more popular, which will probably drive the price on them up. Magnum Research has even put out new ones with integrated rails and different sights for the all steel full-sized version. They feel awkward to me though, and I love the high combat sights because I use the rear sight to work the slide.
