No I thought of that. I am shooting off a rest and I hold both thumbs pointing forward, well below the slide release.? I did take the spring out that holds the slide release, I deepened the notch that the spring rides in and reformed the spring to hold more downward pressure on the slide release, the reason for this move was the slide release lever was flopping up and down without any resistance from the spring, the slide release seem much tighter now! I wish this spring was tempered better so it would hold its shape better it looks like it does not have any tempering but just a bent piece of wire? Also the side release was at first somewhat stiff, not because of the spring, but from pressure from the frame having a slight dent where the right sided slide release fits in the frame, this dent was removed and it was then when I found that the spring was not properly engaging the slide stop itself. A little work and It looks like it will now work fine. Hope this is all the fiddling I have to do with this gun as I love the way it puts small groupings in targets now that the trigger has also been reworked!?
