I live and hunt in SW Montana. All of these pictures, and all of my hunting, take place on public land here. This year, I am going to try get my wife a shot at a truly record book mule deer, @ 32"-36", that I have been stalking for 3 years now. In two years, my oldest son will be able to legally hunt. Nothing is better than passing the sport along to the next generation, and watching their eyes light up with the thrill of the hunt!

Thanks for the kind comments! Perhaps more could also post their pictures  :).

Your daughter is precious. Does she shoot or hunt?

Thank you! I try to take all of my kids out hunting with me, at least once each year. It has become a special time of dad/child one on one time. While I take my kids shooting with .22's, none are old enough to legally hunt yet here in Montana. The min. age is 12  :( , though it is something we are working towards lowering!

My oldest will be 12 in  a year and a half, and he will most likely use the 527 in .223 . If funds allow, I would like to build a 527 FS in 6.5 Grendel for the kids to use. A nice market niche for CZ would be a series of youth hunting rifles, either built on the PPC case or a slightly stretched action, preferably about 2.6" in length. A 527 in 6.5 MS would be the cat's meow!
