Got my SP01 back from CZ with a couple of NICE mods!

So I am lucky enough to live locally to CZUSA, and also lucky enough to have met Mr. Mike Eagleshield while smoking cigars at the local tobacconist, while I was still considering my first CZ purchase.

Well, I got an SP01, and had Mike install the 85C trigger and competition hammer.  Just picked it up.  I've got to say, this is a great mod for this gun, which I will use primarily for USPSA and home defense. 

The SA pull is light.  Really really light.  I'm guessing about 2.5lbs.  Its got some take up, but no overtravel, as Mike adjusted the 85C trigger to perfection.  The DA is still heavy, but not nearly as much as stock, and from the half cock position the pull is short and smooth.  Probably 8-9lbs, but feels great. 

One interesting observation.  The safety will now go on with the gun on half cock.  This has to be a function of the competition hammer, and I like the feature. 

I've got my second ever USPSA match tomorrow, and my first with this CZ, so wish me luck!

How much did that set you back?

Parts and install was 125.  Well worth it.  I shot kinda sucky on a couple of the stages, but pretty good on a couple of others.  I really like the sp01.

I did some slow fire accuracy testing today.  Took my girlfriend out so she could shoot her new revolver a bit, and shot my SP01 some more.  Its a laser beam.  Yesterday at the match was the first time I'd fired it at all, and there wasn't much opportunity to shoot for groups.  Today I confirmed what pretty much everyone says, these guns are accurate as helll.  The REALLY light SA trigger helps
