Marschal Grips for my CZ83 in zebrawood arrived today.  They look great.

Sadly, they don't fit.

I've emailed for a way to resolve things; and am waiting for a response.

where do they not fit, I have always had to take a razor knife to them to get the mag in and out as on most wood grips you have to trim something on them , even new plastic grips from CZ you will have to trim something

There is a small flange along the leading edge of the left grip.  It is supposed to drop in place behind the frame.  It won't.  If I remove the flange to make it fit, there will be no stabilization of the grip on the frame.  There is also a small cutout at the bottom of that left grip which has to go around a part of  the frame.  It's not  cut out enough, and the grip sits too high on the pistol.  As a result of both of these problems, the screw hole is no where near centered.

I've asked for instructions on how  to return them for a refund.  No response, so I've filed a preliminary case with PayPal.

Needless to say, I'm quite disappointed; as they really look good.  It's too bad they won't fit the pistol.

I just heard from Gustav by way of the PayPal dispute page.  He basically said that there are too many variations of the CZ83 for them to be able to make grips that fit them all.  This in spite of the fact that I sent Dennis detailed photos of my pistol before they made the grips.

Gustav told me to not try to modify them and to send them back.  They would then issue a refund.

It's really too bad, as they are really beautiful to look at.  Sadly, they're not functional for my pistol.

Wow.  I just received a full refund to PayPal today!  That's even before they received the grips back.

These are some good folks; and they certainly stand behind their products by making things right.  I sure wish those grips would have fit.  They were absolutely beautiful to look at!

Could you send him the grips off your CZ-83 so he can match them up for a sure fit?

He did not offer to do this, so I guess the point is moot.

I just noticed on Marschal's site that my grips have shipped. I should know if they fit in about a week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
