P07 First sight.
« on: April 27, 2009, 07:36:16 PM »
Saw and handled one for the first time today at Academy Sports.   I was suprised that it was much more compact than I had imagined based on the pics on screeen so far...that's a good thing.  Trigger guard is much smaller than imagined also..another good thing.   :)     Price is not too bad at $449 +TTL.   If I had some Lottery Loot or the equivalent thereof, I would have probably told him to wrap it up.   I hate it when I'm all cashed out...   ;D

That's a decent price!  How did you like the way it fit your grip?  I preordered mine but, it is good to see they are showing up in retail stores.

I was somewhat annoyed by the sales kid.  Pistol had trigger lock on and he removed the mag and then locked slide back and then handed it to me.   Said he wasn't authorized to  remove lock....Oh Well, guess he was doing what he was told to do...  so I only made it to first base today.   ;D

Wow..I never heard of a dealer keeping trigger locks on the guns for sale.  Weird ..  ::)

I bought mine Sat at Academy and shot it Sunday morning.  SA trigger is good, though I will tweak it soon.   Get rid of most of the takeup and the minor creep before it breaks.  Mine shoots to the left, even off sandbags.  I need to drift the rear sight, but it seems staked in.  I'll contact CZ and see what the right method of adjustment is.  I really like the pistol.  Just the right size and feel for CCW.

Most of the big chains have trigger locks and will not take them off.  One sales guy at academy said he could call a manager if I wanted.  All of the guys at the Academy in Mobile as helpful, friendly guys.  And I have to give props to Academy for keeping prices sane on both guns and ammo.

Trigger locks are so that no one can come in there and get a gun to look at, slam a mag in and start shooting people.
