I can attest to his GREAT customer service!  IMO, he went the extra mile to satisfy me with a great pair of grips!

I bit the bullet on a pair of the black carbon fiber grips from Paul. I should be getting them soon.

The carbon fiber grips from Paul look great on my nickel CZ 83.  I should post some pics but I think my batteries are dead in the camera (plus, I'm not quite sure how to post pics on this site). Anyway, take it from me, they do look really sharp.

I'll try to post a pic. The glare does not give the the actual grips justice. I'm very pleased with Paul's workmanship.

Hey, thanks for the good words, guys.

I guess I'm a member of the club now because today I went out and picked up an 82. I've been a bit hamstrung by not being able to test each grip and fine tune them, so from now on I hope I'll be able to get them to fit perfectly when they arrive.

I have heard that there have been at least 5 changes in the fit of the grips during the years, and I have personally seen three different designs, but eventually I hope to get something that will work well on all of them. And I have a set of new 83 grips on backorder which should help tremendously when they come in.

Thanks,
Paul

Hey, czgusso, that is very nice looking.  Good choice with the nickle finish.

Paul, welcome!!!  I still have to finish the blackening on my second CZ 82 before posting a picture here with the new grips.  I should have been done by now but I ran out of the blackening solution.

Sounds interesting. Show us some pics of your work when you get through. I have an 82 that I need to refinish.

If you are thinking about refinishing, you can read a thread (w/ pics!) on a different forum about my experience: http://hipointtalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=5581

Here is the latest grip I created. It is a hybrid fabric of carbon fiber running one direction and Kevlar running the other. The Kevlar is a real bear to work with, so I don't know if I'll create any more, but thought you all might be interested in it.

Paul,

Great looking grips!  I am trying to figure out what I will order: one pair for a CZ83 and one pair for a CZ75B.  On your grips for the CZ75B, how do they compare in thickness to the factory grips?  From the pics they look like they might be a bit thinner - a good thing in my mind.  Also, I am thinking about either the gold powder or the faux walnut for the CZ83.  On your website the gold powder look almost like a teak colored wood.  Are they really gold in appearance and can a wood grain be added to the gold powder?  Can you add texture to any material?

Thanks so much for your producing grips to meet our needs.  I do plan to send you an order as soon as I figure out what I want.   Both of my CZ's are stainless finish and I am try to figure out what will look best on that color base.

The 75B grips in their natural state are exactly the same as the factory grips. I am able though, to grind the texture off of the grips and polish them smooth, which would make them thinner. My only concern with that is that is keeping the screw head from sticking out uncomfortably.

The gold powder really is a gold colored metal powder. It doesn't quite have the identical look of a solid metal, since it is an emulsion of a clear liquid (epoxy) and microscopic grains of metal, but it does come fairly close. And I'm not sure how well the gold powder would mix with the colored epoxy. The gold powder emulsion has some real funky properties, such that the tiniest amount of powder tends to mix itself throughout the entire mixture. It might tend to overpower any other color.

And I'm not real clear on the texture question. The checkering is there from the molding process of the original. It is either that, or a slick polished effect.

Thanks
