CZ Fever getting bad
« on: May 06, 2009, 06:33:00 PM »
Ok,,so two weeks ago I picked up my first CZ..a matte stainless 75B...fast forward to today. I walk into the local shop and see thay have a SP01 with nite sights, so I walked out with my second CZ! Now to look for a P-07 when fundage allows  ;D

ETA...I noticed that the safety doesn't make the "snick" when pushed on safe like my 75B does...It does do it when pressed off safe...This is OK I assume??? It seems to stay in the "safe " position well, but obviously I haven't fired it yet...

I too have the fever.  Picked up a .22 bolt rifle a couple of weks ago and my "new" CZ IPSC will arrive in a few days.

It's a good fever though...... ;D

When you first move it off the Safe position can you feel the ball coming out of the detent or just a smooth resistance?  It may be into the detent but the detent fits with just a hair of a bind or has some of the shipping lube in it so it doesn't make the "snick" sound when it's moved into the Safe position.
Witty saying to be plagarized shortly.....

Yes.... we all seem to get the "fever"  especially when we have those great CZ's stairring us in the face.  I'm waiting on a 75b stainless............

If it bugs you enough take it back and see what they can do about it.   The detent hole may not be drilled deep enough or it clogged when the finish was applied or any number of other possibilities.  You're right though, it SHOULD have a nice solid tactile feel of going into place.
