SP01 to single action only...?
« on: May 25, 2009, 09:59:36 PM »
This will be my first CZ from a gun noob, considering my short & tiny fingers, I choose to convert it to a single action only. I've read here that you only need to replace the trigger and hammer to make it single action. Are there anything else needed to be done technically? And if I choose not to remove the firing pin block, what will be the estimate trigger pull weight. This will be for daily carry and HD/range use. Also, will there be any reliability issues converting the SP01 to single action only? Any inputs will be great, thanks!

to do a straight conversion..you can go with a single action trigger, factory hammer or comp hammer, take out the disconnector. in single action..you can get the factory hammer re-cut or install the comp hammer..both will give you good trigger pulls if the gun is single action only. with the FPB in or out. you should be able to get a trigger as light as 2#. it can easily be made heavier to 3.5# or 4#.
should be no issues with reliability if done correctly

Thanks a lot eerw! :) How about the main spring, do I need to replace it too? By the way, I just placed an order for a SP01, and later I'll have the parts needed for SA conversion :)
