Found a Tactical Sport :)
« on: May 28, 2009, 11:01:11 AM »
Found a used Tactical Sport in .40SW. My only other two CZs are a CZ-75B in 9mm and a CZ-52. When I saw and felt the TS I HAD to have it.

No idea if the price was good, it was marked $600.00, used but in awesome shape. I put money down on it, very excited to pick it up.

Only thing that alarmed me, well not really alarmed, was the rear sight on the top had a screw hole in it but no screw? I figured it would be a few dollars to by a screw if need be. Anyone tell me more about it?

Any idea for extra magazines?

I'd like a holster too, not for racing in anything but just to be able to carry in the woods to plink.

great price..

new they hover around the $950-$1050 area.

mags you should be able to get at czcustom.com or cz-usa
Blade Tech makes a decent belt holster.. not sure on leather makers.

 :) :) :) Major score I'd say.  Congrats.

How come I'm never on the right side of these deals?

A better belt in my view is the Wilderness belt.  If you decide to buy it get it in the 1 3/4" size.  In my view much more secure than typical leather belts.

Thanks guys. :)

I really never shopped around for these, so I didn't know if that was a good price. Now that I research it I'm glad I put the money down. Hopefully nothing is wrong with it, it was in nice shape but def. looked like it had been fired, but not abused at all. It is a CZ, so I can't imagine anything that is wrong with it can't be fixed.

Any idea on that screw hole on the top of the rear sight?

Regarding the missing sight retaining screw:  I have a new TS.  It came from the factory without one.  I have had no problems with it after 1000+ rounds.  Here is a link to the CZUB website.  You can download the manual and spare parts list from them.  Call CZ-USA if you decide you want the screw.

Hope this helps.

Are you sure that you don't want to race that gun?  Get some mags with 140mm extenders and you have one heck of a USPSA Limited gun.

BTW sounds like a good deal.

Great pistol! I have one in 9mm and it is easily one of the most accurate guns I own. For me, it is almost as accurate as my SIG P226 X-Five L1.

Whiterook ...... try to get a quality holster (no cheapies) for your Tatical,  and Mec-Gar makes great magazines specificly for CZ's.  I prefer those over the CZ mags..... as I have both.

I thought my sight screw was missing also. Turns out it was not missing. It is a small hex head set screw that I could not see and it was in place, doing its job.

Thanks guys.

I'm picking this up next Thursday. SO excited. I need to track down some .40SW. I have a feeling this thing is going to shoot like a dream.

FINALLY! I picked this beast up! Have yet to shoot it but bleep is it sweet(and heavy!)! I really like it, but I don't do race shooting and have no desire to do it.

Nice snag.... I absolutely love mine.

Sure you don't wanna trick it out and go racin'!?!  It's quite addictive... ;)
