Just got my P-07 , I hope it lives up to G-19
« on: June 26, 2009, 06:46:11 PM »
I just got it . I love everything about it . But When I try to eject empty mags , it wont let them go freely .  But when I press the mag-release on the front of the lever , it does .  I havent tried it with full mags yet . This is still new and I will give CZ the benefit of the doubt .  I have 2 other CZs and they are awesome .
If this CZ turns out to be great , then It may take over my Glock 19  :D :D
read stuff about the mag-release problem but I hope it isnt happening with me .
Mine was made/ tested in April this year .

That's a feature! It is supposed to not drop freely.  Do a little search on mags and the P-07 (and other CZ's) and you will discover that there is a way to get them to drop freely (some.. bending required).

I don't believe that a mag brake is a feature or an option on the P-07.  Mine drops free full or empty until I chamber a round then it is locked in place by the next round moving up in the mag.  It happens with both of my factory mags.  I have not decided if this bothers me or not though because it will (in mine) drop free after it is empty....................

The P-07 does not have a magazine brake . My CZ 75B does .
I may mess around with it and see what happens . I am going to go shoot it for the first time monday . I see then .
I sure hope I dont have to send it off to CZ . Maybe its "newness"  I hope  ???

P-07 mags are supposed to drop freely, no bending required. If they don't, then there is a problem.

Initially, one of my mags wouldn't consistently drop free, but after a cleaning of the mag in question and repeated inserting and dropping of the mag, it eventually worked OK.

If you still have issues, check this thread:  http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php?topic=23688.0
