SP01 Safety
« on: July 12, 2009, 06:21:09 AM »

SP01 Safety.

I see that CZ have updated the safety for SP01. A newer smaller design?
Does this new design work with the older SP01 models? I read somewhere that a new detent system is now inplace also? Can anyone provide some clarification please?
Why does CZ do this?

Cheers, Ando.

Ando,

I think you're talking abbout a RAMI style safety - A alim safety with a low profile.

Here's a link to a picture of the RAMI P. Take a look at the safety:

I know CZ team shooter Adam Tyc uses such a safety on his SP-01.

As far as I know, both this safety and the SP-01 one use the same detent at the right side of the pistol.

Aron,
thanks for your reply mate & the info. Interesting stuff.

Here we go, this is what I'm talking about.

I see in a DVD recently, in addition to the RAMI safety, Adam Tyc also uses a recurved trigger (similar to RAMI trigger profile) on his SP01 comp gun.
