So, I took possession of my SP01 on Monday but didn't have a chance to shoot it until today. I have to say that this thing is much easier to shoot than my P01. Don't get me wrong, the P01 is a great pistol, but it is a compact and designed to be light for carry - this translates into a snappier recoil. The SP01, on the other hand, is a bit heavier but well balanced. It shot very nicely and despite some of the reports here, I didn't have a single problem with feeding different FMJ's through it.

The trigger was definitely gritty, but a quick polishing and installation of comp hammer has made it pretty nice - I am VERY happy with the SP01.

:)

Paul enjoy your new SP-01. If you like it as much as I like my SP-01 Tactical, you will have many hours of enjoyment ahead shooting it.

Good choice picking a great firearm!  I can't speak to the P-01, but I bought my SP-101 about three months ago.  I haven't experienced any issues with the pistol in over 1000 rounds.  It fits my hand like a glove, it is well balanced, and it is dangerously accurate- once the trigger is broken in.  I have owned pistols costing three times that of the SP-101, and none of them have performed as well.

Love my SP01, better range/target pistol than the P01, not that the P01 is a bad pistol. :)
