SP01 tactical in .40 ?
« on: August 17, 2009, 01:17:11 AM »
hello  everyone at CZF. i  already  own  a  shadow 9mm  who's  my  main race gun, i  love  it,  the  trigger  in  stock  trim  is  a  dream, and  the  front  sight  is  quite a  nice  addition.....i  own  several  glocks,  but   i'm on  my  way  to  reach  the  same  state  with  cz's.

i  actually  was  looking  to  get  another  .40  beside  my  G22,  and  opted  for  the  SP01 tactical  chambered in  .40  and  should  get  the  thing  in  1  week  or  so.

i  know  there's  a  decocker  instead  of  the trigger/hammer-lock lever  of  my shadow  but  i  dont  mind  even  if  i  find  myself  more  comfortable  and  safe  with  a  manual  decocking  procedure  than  a  mechanical decocker  who  may  broke  anytime...mmh?h?  anyway muzzle control should  take  care  of the % left. ;)..i  know....however,  i  know  the  tactical  sport tritium sights  and  it's  pretty  much  all  infos  i  have  at  the  moment....

post  your  comment  and  experience/knowledge  about  it,  like  how  it  goes  compared  with  other  .40  steel framed  and  such  things.

thanks  for  sharing . :)

the one I had was a very good shooter. I was surprised how soft shooting it was. the trigger cleans up really nicely, even though it is a pain to work on. anyway.. I was very impressed with the gun.

nah..I wanted to learn to do a trigger job on a decocker..and the SP01 .40 was the only one I wanted..so got the gun, learned the trigger work, shot it in a USPSA match or two in Limited 10 and moved on.

thanks for sharing.....i  hope  the  tactical trigger  as  smooth  as  my  shadow....but  i  expect  something    different as  trigger  feel    given  the  decocker  on  this  one.

mine wasn't.
it is very much like all the other SP01s and 75Bs. heavy hammer springs, heavy recoil spring, camming of the hammer.
I ended up pulling mine apart and doing a full polish, recut the hammer and sear, respring the entire gun. Then it was great.
