safety won't engage with new competition hammer

Hi guys,

I recently changed the hammer of my shadow to the square competition hammer. the creep i noticed on the SA shot has disappeared and trigger is so much crisper now...

but i can't engage the safety when the hammer is fully cocked. I only can engage the safety when half-cocked.

is there something i can do to fix it?

very common issue when installing the comp hammer..
you will need to either remove material from the sear arm that is over the safety, or from the pad on the safety leather that rotates under the  sear arm.

What he said ... go slow, it really isn't much material. If you remove too much the safety won't engage any longer and you'll have to replace the sear and try again. Don't ask how I know

There are some good tutorials on this site if you search, its been done by several members here already .... some more successful then my oops
