Range Report Witness 45
« on: March 26, 2010, 05:46:16 PM »
Made it to the range this morning to try out my new Witness 45. I shot 50 rounds of Magtech 230 grain FMJ, and 20 rounds of Winchester 230 JHP. No problems with either. Shot from draw, off hand, at 7-10 yards. Groups of 5 went about 3-4 inches. The JHP shot a little low. Shoots as good as I remember my old one did.

I was using an old Uncle Mikes #15 holster. The Witness didn't fit it very well. I stopped by a local gun shop on the way home and picked up a Tagua Quick Draw leather holster for a CZ. It holds the Witness well, only it is hard to get back in the holster after drawing with it on my belt. It will do until I can find something better.

I carried a Witness for 13+ years in a Galco Hi-Jak pancake rig. Good gun, good holster. Still have the holster. :)
Sounds like you have fun!
