CZ 75 P-02
« on: March 29, 2010, 02:45:17 AM »
So, I don't know where to put this topic so I'll try here.

Has anyone heard anything about the CZ 75 P-02? This is from the CZUB Site:

New P-02 model is CZ 75 D COMPACT pistol equipped with Omega trigger system. The main advantage is the ease of decocking lever or manual safety interchange in the same manner as applied for the CZ 75 P-07 DUTY model.

Does anyone know when will it be released or if it is going to be ambidextrous like the P-07? I am left-handed and have been waiting forever for CZ to release a compact 9mm pistol with an ambidextrous manual safety.

The CZ-USA site doesn't even list it, so if anyone knows anything please share :)

This is the first I've heard of a P-02.

I like the Omega trigger system, so I'd like to hear more too.

Looks like they also got some new magazines for it.

I e-mailed CZ-USA customer service asking for a U.S. release date and any available info and
the guy who responded said that the only info he had was what was on the site and that they don't
have a release date yet.

A side note, I love CZ customer service. I got a response e-mail in a couple of hours. MUCH faster than other firearms companies I've dealt with which
won't be named (they know who they are)

Indeed quite interesting, what exactly does the omega trigger do besides let you switch safety decocker (something I'd never do, I go decocker only).  Nice to have an ambidextrous option, but its not really vital for a lefty.

Ooooooh...... ;D I agree, SP02 Shadow! Or would that be Shadow II? Yes, the P02 is the logical next step, absolutely, not that I think there's anything wrong with my p01 trigger. The Omega is in the P07, and it feels smoother to me from the outset.

Yes, the Omega trigger is simpler.

The P-02 is what some people have wanted for a long time.

The ability to carry a alloy framed Compact sized gun cocked locked.

Edited:This will give them a P-01 platform gun with that option.

One can hope that is will sell for substantially less than a P-01.

This makes sense that they would anounce this after I spent years waiting for a condition 1 capable compact 9mm to replace my Glock for carry duty.  I just picked up my P01 for Top Gun Supply 2 days ago.  Oh well, hopefully I can afford a P02 when it hits the market.

Sorry, amigo. You will love the P01! As for the P02, confirmed we have no import data at this time, CZ-UB kept this one under CLOSE wraps!
