Final word on Tactical manufacturing numbers from CZ-USA!
« on: January 26, 2004, 10:54:08 AM »
The following email came to me this morning as a response to an inquiry I made via www.cz-usa.com.  Walt was correct in his statements that the serial numbers are NOT CONSECUTIVE.

Hello,

The 75 Tactical had a limited run of 1000 units.  The serial numbers are not consecutive.  Production has ceased on this particular model making it very rare.  Hope this helps!

Regards,

I have a tactical that I bought around 2003 or 2004. I just liked the look of the black slide over the OD frame. I had not even heard of CZ before that purchase. I was just lucky ot stumble on to such s fine pistol out of dumb luck. I have since added adjustable sights. Other than the sights, I wouldn't change a thing. It now has a CZ-82 for a little brother.

If a CZ-75B owner were to recreate the look of the 'Tactical,' does anyone know what shade (manufacturer) of OD wa used by CZ?  I'm wondering if there is a Cerekote OD that closely matches.  Thanks for any information.

MC,
You need to ask Brian Ahearn, the owner of EFR (Easton Firearms Refinishing) this question. He posts frequently in the "General Firearms Discussion" section.
