How to adjust the 2 way adjustable SA trigger

I recently purchased your 2 way adjustable trigger and the firing block delete spacer, and removed all the necessary parts to get it in and function properly. The only issue is I don't know how to adjust it so there is less pretravel. There is almost as much travel as before I put it in and removed the firing pin block.

The upper allen bolt is currently tightened all the way down. If that's all it adjusts I wasted a whole lot of money and the double action pull for nothing, so I hope that isn't the case!

Well I tinkered with it a bit and I got rid of a lot of pretravel, but there is still a little bit left in it, maybe half the amount it had before. Is it possible to get it like a 1911, where there is little if any take up at all?

You don't mention which gun you're referring to. 

In the 75 models, the firing pin interrupt is one fairly major cause of  'pretravel'.

The trigger with stops can only remove 'some' of the seemingly excess travel.

I messed with it some more and WOW. Anyone who is thinking about picking up this trigger, please don't hesitate. I tuned it so there is literally zero take up before the break. It is absolutely awesome. It feels just like a 1911, and coupled with polishing of the internals while you're installing it, the firing pin block delete, and a 15 lb mainspring, my trigger is right around 3-3.5 lbs with no creep. It is superb.

I did an SP01 about a year ago, and I have to say it's one of my favorites. I use it at steel matches and its just as good as a 1911... Heres a couple of pics....

Make sure that you have not removed to much over travel. The CZ need some.
Check that the trigger moves enough to the rear so that the hammer hooks do not hit the sear.

You can check this by firing the empty gun, holding the trigger back and rocking the hammer if you feel any contact with the sear then you need to back out the overtravel screw.

Also, if you take out to much of the pre travel, any piece of crud gets between the frame and the screw, it won't go bang. Had it happen so I put just a little back in. fwiw

Yes that's correct too, make sure when you are done you loctite the screws in place :-)
