I'm not sure I understand your description, but I'll do my best to describe the CZ 85 Combat slide stop lever as I see it. The lever on the right side of the gun is fixed on the frame. It pivots but is not attached to anything other than the frame and has a shaped hole in the center of its axis of rotation. When the left side lever is inserted into the frame, its end fits into the hole in the right side lever. Once assembled, moving the right side also moves the left side lever, which actuates the slide stop.
I've only had my CZ 85 for a short time, but I've found it to be just as reliable as the 75B.
I can't comment on the sights, because I don't know what's on the Kadet. It does appear to be well made and somewhat smaller than the typical Mec-Gar or Millett adjustable sights that I've seen on Browning HPs and Kimbers.
