Thinking about a CZ SA.....
« on: February 10, 2011, 05:05:43 PM »
I am thinking about picking up a CZ SA.  Not sure yet.  Never handled one.  Convince me as to whether I will like it or not. ::)

I have a Browning MKIII.  How will it compare to it?  Advantages and/or disadvantages............

The CZ-SA is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  Try it-you won't be sorry.

Nice gun..it needs some love on sear/hammer, but other than that, it's great.
I like this frame the best of all the CZ guns. beavertail does for me, big mag release is cool too.

Here's mine:

It feels great in my hand and I'm pretty accurate with it.  I think the trigger needs some work.  The stock sights are pretty poor because the dots are small and off white.  I've got replacement adjustable sights.  I just have to find the time to install them.  The extra heft at the front of the pistol really helps to dampen recoil.  The beavertail is nice too.

The B-SA is first CZ I bought
I got it in 9mm along with a fitted Kadet Conversion kit
Sent the B-SA into CZ Mike and had him do his stuff to the trigger...Very nice
Also had him add night sights
Found out one thing though, the hammer spring Mike installed was too light for the Kadet
Installed an extra power hammer spring and now the Kadet works great (again) and the trigger (somehow) has a lighter pull and is much crisper
Go figure
I truly love the B-SA...It is a great platform and perfect for the Kadet Conversion kit
Shoot safe, Den S
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

instead of trying to convince you.  Since you HAVE NOT HANDLED ONE. GO OUT AND DO SO.  it doesnt have to be an SA, any of the full size CZs will do with the exception of the poly guns and the 97.

to me, if you have to be "convinced", you dont want one, youre just window shopping.

I had a full size CZ before I got my PCR and P01.  I figured that the grip would be similar, but would be a little different due to the SA trigger.  That is what catches my interest of the SA is the shorter trigger reach

Thought I had an SA lined up in a trade deal tonight, but it fell through.  Ol well....... :'(

Guess this will give me time to find one to handle.  Still think I will eventually get one.  Also have a compact calling my name.  They are starting to multiply before they ever make it to my safe.  That could be a good sign or a bad sign........ O0

I have the CZ 75 B sa bug aswell, Pretty sure its going to be the 40cal. With a price point of less than $600, I cant see how that could be beat. She comes stock with the flat trigger that most S/A shooters enjoy, So when ya figure the upgrades a person may want to see on that beast, A S/A comp hammer is said to improve felt trigger pull as well as look real cool. Then a CZ FAO elevation adj. rear sight, A fiber-optic front site to meet your fancy. Should throw a 13lb main spring in there and maybe down the road some new grips would be nice. All tallied up the extras are under $300 bucks. Say under $900 dollars and you have a sweet pistola In my book.

I got 100 rounds through a rental 75 SA at a local gun shop and I was less than impressed with the trigger.  There was just as much creep as with a DA/SA trigger in SA so given the opportunity either get a trigger job or just buy a regular 75.  Maybe other can dispute but that was my experience. I will say outside of the trigger it was pure CZ and love the accuracy and ergonomics.

Hello Wade19, Thats a good lookin s/a. After having a bone stock CZ 75 SP01 Tac 40 since 09, It`s time for a 75 B s/a in 40 cal also. That flat triggered gun just looks like alot of fun, Thinking of making her my range gun. She`s on the short list. :P
