Used it today to shoot my weekly shoot and it did great. No malfunctions of any kind, can't say thet for the 1911 guys! Shot great and even made some of the guys ask what are you shooting there?
A lot of 1911 and blocks oh I mean glocks, I had the only CZ. I was very satisfied with the handling and shooting results of the 97. I just got the new XD45 ACP and have been shooting it as well. As soon as more mags are available I will shoot it as well to see which pistol does better.
I encourage all of you to go out and shoot IDPA it's fun and you get some firing time which you can never get enough of.

What class of IDPA can you use the CZ 97B in? I was just thinking about this.
Edit: Which holster do you use?

Well mine is a single action only so I shoot CDP but if yours is double action and you shoot your first shot double action then you can shoot SSP and ESP.
I will be limited to CDP with my XD also because it is considered single action as well. Check it out it is a whole lot of fun.

As noted, depending on how you start, and how many rounds you load, you can shoot a DA/SA gun in ANY of the three main SEMI-AUTO divisions in IDPA. You'll probably be most competitive in Stock Service Pistol, however.

Thanks for the advice. What ever the noob category is is what I would need to shoot in.

I thought the dust cover made the 97B no go in the stock service pistol? I get confused though when I read the IDPA rule book.

Dust covers? Like a Glock 34? Which is perfectly legal.
I think they get all horsey about full-length dustcovers on 1911s... Bill Wilson's pet division. (CDP).
The P-01 has a full-length dust cover.
