Hey folks,
I've been carrying with a High Noon "Bare Asset" holster for a little while but I believe it may be time to move up to something different. I've been looking for a holster that would allow single handed re-holstering, which the Bare Asset does not. Not being able to re-holster single handed is not the best configuration for CCW but also makes practicing draws a chore since I can't safely holster my weapon without removing the IWB holster. This means I don't practice enough and that's never a good thing... I have also been looking in to belt holsters rather than an IWB model since that configuration is not comfortable for me.
I have been very pleased with my High Noon holster so I have no opposition to staying with that brand, I just want something that will stay open and allow me to re-holster. It's hard to get a feel for how well the various models stay open just looking at pictures online. I've been toying with the idea of buying the Slide Guard if it meets my needs.
Does anyone have experience with that model, or ones like it? Are there other companies I should be looking at?
Thanks in advance,
hotrod
