I went down to the police station this afternoon to fill out the purchase permit paperwork, and the first thing the lady told me was "You do know that you won't get this today, right?" 15 minues later I had the permit in hand and was on my way to the gun shop.
Ha, the benefits of clean living and positive thinking. Having an absolutely spotless criminal record helped too. She said that normally they would have to run at least a little bit more in depth search on some minor infraction or other and since I had nothing at all on my record, bingo, my permit was approved!
This past weekend I found one local shop with just one 97B in stock, brand new in blue, just what I wanted. She is mine now. Got the 97B, a cleaning kit from Kleen Bore, a membership to their firing range and a free T-shirt. Life is good.
