New style Spur Hammer

I was reading an earlier post that mentioned a new style spur hammer of the Cz97B...can anyone tell me more, have a picture, etc. Thanks.

A couple of folks like the look of the spur hammer on the older pre-B and the new Retro.  The "Retro's" hammer can be used in the 97B, and some have installed them.

Be wary, though, as those hammer can bite your hand, if you've got a meaty hand.  

(It looks better but doesn't really perform better; a hair easier to thumb cock, though.)

Thanks Walt. After looking on the CZ site, I came across their "competition" hammer...has anyone tried this on their 97B and does it seem to lessen/smooth the trigger appreciately. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you're going to get a significantly smoother, better trigger by jswapping parts, alone.  

That's going to require a trigger or action job.  Folks like Jim Miossi, who participates here,  Mike Eagleshield (at CZ-USA,) or Angus Hobdell (see his forums at the top of the CZ Forum) can do it for you.

You can get a lighter trigger by installing lighter hammer spring; that, plus some "wearing in" with dry firing or live fire may be enough to make you happy.  Those sprigns are available from Wolff.  (I'm not sure, but I think its the same hammer spring as is used in the CZ75B -- others here can confirm or correct that point.)
