Hello, I wanted to say thank you for everyones info, stories, etc... I should be recieving my CZ97B this coming week. I recently went through about 75% of all the threads here and all the knowledge and maturity of the users here helped my decision in this purchase. My last gun was a Walther P22 and I wanted something with a lot more power :evil  and accuracy for my target/fun shooting events, and thanks to everyone, I think I am getting the best deal out there. Plus, if I ever have a Question about something, I know I can trust you guys. Once again, thank you all!

P.S.
How exactly do you Pronounce the full Name of CZ? lol...

Maturity? :eek  Where? LOL
Congrats on the purchase of in my opinion the best double action .45 out there in any where near that price range and most likely the most accurate of all double action .45s out of the box.

The original pronunciation sounds "Che Zet" :hat   and the full name "Cheshska Zbroyovka", only in USA we calling it "Cee Zee" because it's looks like, but in Czech language letter "C" sounds "Che" and also in Europe everybody call it "Che Zet" . who cares.

For those a bit slow on the uptake here... The answer is I have no freaking idea!  If I ever run into someone from the Czech Republic I will be sure to ask them though.  Especially if it is one of those women from the CZ shooting team...

So why answer, if you nave no freaking idea. My brother in-law is from former Czechoslovakia witch is separated now (thanks to fu..ing stupid traitor-turncoat-betrayer, apostate Gorbachev) to Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, getting to the point - he is my source of all info I've posted before in this topic.

Sorry. My apology!

I hope now, when somebody on the shooting range ask you "what kind of gun is this?" and you say "CheZet" not "CeeZee" you didn't start arguing, just let them call it the way it is now. It happen to me in the gun store, sells rep. was so sure about "CeeZee" he called "supervisor" and at the end it gets so ugly.:D

I dont want to be a big butt-in-ski, but I noticed that you show the "j" in Zbrojovka as being pronounced as a "y". Yet in another post, FEG, the CZF Administrator pronounces the "j" as a "j".

See this link;
p201.ezboard.com/fczechpi...=315.topic

I don't mean to step on anybody's toes, I'm just trying to find out what the correct pronounciation is for "Ceska Zbrojovka". Maybe they pronounce it differently in different parts of the Czech Republic?

That could be a possibility... I honestly don't know where to even begin to pronounce it, and now I'm even more curious... :|  I mean, I believe Nexes' part bc of his step brother, but that link was very in depth... Hmmm... I did read that there are different dialects and even other languages spoken in the Czech Rep. However, I don't know a drop of anything so if I am wrong, don't be mean.:\

Well in Redneckonics it is pronounced SEE-ZEE. Because they put the letters -C-Z- on the box and I am in America so I will pronounce those two letters SEE-ZEE. When I am over there I will pronounce it any way they want.
