Extended thumb safety

In my opinion, a more prominent thumb safety would make this a better gun.   Its kind of like a "GI" 1911 safety.  After I snick it, I feel compelled to look down and make sure I got it!
I don't suppose the market is big enough for someone to have made an extended replacement?

I am not sure but I do not mind it and on 1911s I hate those gas pedal saftey levers. The SA I have has them and they eat my thumbs up.

I like those pedal levers. :D

I hook the thumb of my gun-hand with the support hand thumb.  You probably shoot with your gun-hand thumb on the safety?

Either way is correct, its just a matter of preference.

I try to remember to do that but I have been shooting with the "flying thumbs" for so long it is very difficult to change. LOL If Springfield Armorys were not so squared and sharp on the back they might not be bad. I am fixing to order some after market ones that look more rounded instead of angled.
