My 97b and High Noon Holster.

My 97b and 12 volts FLGR with 18lb Wolfe Spring

And for the person asking about Clips from AZ gunrunners here are the ones I got from them last year.(identical to the ones that came with my 97b)

Nice setup. How does the pistol carry in that holster. Can you wear it all day without needing a Chiropractor? I have been toying with the idea of carrying mine, but right now I am using my CZ100, and going to a CZ97 would be a major change, I think.

Good shooting,

Mike

I dont carry it unless im at the rangr or in the woods.  But as long as I have a sturdy belt its no problem.  But I am also 6'4" and about 220lbs.  So im not average size.

Nice

couple questions.

1.  I bought a jack ash FLGR and a 20lb wolf spring (hasn't arrived yet), becasue someone else on here said they had no problem with thiers.  If I recall correctly, 18lb is the stock weight, so if 20 is too much and I have problems does the FLGR work with the stock spring?

2.  Those mag, are they EXACTLY like the stock, as in fit flush and every thing?

Thanks

According to the Wolff website the stock spring for a CZ97 is 13#. I remember reading that Mike, the CZ-USA gunsmith, recommends a 16# spring for both the 97 & 75. Any poundage spring will work with the full length guide rod. However, I would be afraid that a 20# spring would pound the pistol to death when it returned to battery. Just my opinion.

Good shooting,

Mike

The AZGR Mec-Gar mags I just got have plastic bumpers whereas the two that came with my 97B have thicker aluminum ones. After I reworked my mag catch I had to grind down the aluminum ones as they were too thick. The plastic ones are thinner than the ground aluminum, but work perfectly. They do show a little gap between the frame and top of the bumper.

My 97b is an older one from 1997.  The original mags came with the plastic bumper and had a small gap.  The ones from AZ gunrunners are like these.  I have had no problems at all with the mags.  And the stock spring is indeed around 13lb.  The 18lb spring is definitely more stout than the stock.  With the FLGR it SEEMS to work better.  I tried it with the plastic guide rod and it felt like it kinked a bit.  This is probably because the Wolfe springs are a bit longer.  I considered cutting a few loops off the spring but with the FLGR I dont believe i need to.

hmmm

I was wondering why they had a selection of spring weights from 16 to 22 lbs.

If 20 is tooo much I gess I will have to order a lighter weight.

With the heavier spring the main difference i noted was the brass didnt fly as far.  I "might" have felt less recoil but wouldnt swear to it.  Its almost too much for my wife to pull back the slide now too.  I put a recoil buffer in it from Buffer Technologies also and felt no differnece when shooting.  I'll probably remove it soon.  I have heard they can cause jamming when they get too used up.
