I'm considering the purchase of a 97B and would appreciate any advice/recommendations on which finish to get, the"glossy blue" or the "polycoat". What's a good price for this pistol NIB? Finally, any other imput concerning the merits and/or drawbacks of this pistol is welcome.
  Thanks!

I paid $518 for NIB poly after looking long and hard for a better price delivered to me.  Both finishes should be reasonably durable with normal use and maintenance.

Great  gun!

I paid $529 NIB for the gloss blue.

I'm very very careful with my guns,  don't carry, and only shoot maybe once every two weeks. I loved the look of the gloss blue, and understood that because of gun usage, I'd be able to keep the 97b in pristine condition for a long time. I would not recommend the gloss blue for anyone who is a little 'rougher' with their firearms. Hell,  I don't even put my GB in a holster.  I am entertaining the idea of getting a lined holster for it though.

I paid $499 for mine NIB and it is a poly coat. I think the glossy blue looks sharp but it is not for me.

Anyone know where we can see pics of the two different finishes?
