Range Report

Greetings All!

I took my 97B out to the range at Sleepy Creek, WV last weekend and had a great time.  The official reason to go was to just spend a day breaking clay birds and tin cans.  Being a reloader, however, I always have an additional agenda.  This one was to see how Ranier plated bullets work in the 97.  I was shooting both their 185 grain truncated cone and their 200 gr. round nose.  Both fed flawlessly and shot very accurately, but hey! This is a 97B, one of the most accurate .45s there is, right?

Anyway, we had a great day.  I managed to hit a target that was set up at 200 yards.  Admitidly, it took me 6 shots to figure out the lob trajectory and the Kentucky windage.

The Rainier 200gr RN Copper Plated are the same ones I use. I've put about 2000 of them through mine without a hiccup.

For defense bullets I use the Golden Sabers. No problems their either.
