My Son used a dremel and took 60 thousands of an inch off the top of the slot and it locks into place now.
Hopefully it will function properly when  I shoot it.

So the Rami mags require grinding on them to lock into place?  ???

Anyway, the funny thing for me is, when I search for the Rami extended .40 mags online to purchase one, all I keep seeing are ones being sold with  a large extender on them just like the P06 mags!!  I just have not seen ANY Rami extended .40 mags with a flat base like the pics shown earlier here in this thread.  Thats why I was hoping to have a part or model number for them.  Every one I see online shows a picture of them with a long extension at the base.

Where are the flat ones without the extended bases???  I just cannot find them for the life of me.   :(

That's the right link, the magazine extension slides right off the mag.

Has anyone checked to see if the Beretta base plates work on the P06 mags? Just a thought.

I'm not a fan of the extension on the mags either, but Beretta base plates for the 92 series pistols fit fine on my SP01 mags and it doesn't have that extra mass sticking out the end. Beretta states on their website to use 96 series base pads for .40 mags. It would be worth checking out since they're only $5-$7

Ok, I am sorry, but I dont want to see any members or visitors read this thread and waste their money.  This does NOT work properly in the CZ P06!!!

REPEAT: This magazine for the Rami 2075 extended .40 9 round does NOT work.

Dont be a fool and waste your money as I did because I read this thread.

My CZ P06 is only a few months old and has only 100 rounds thru it.  In fact, my earlier posts here in this thread were made at about the same week that I got my P06 brand new.  So its a new gun.

So I just bought this mag straight from CZ and when inserting it up into my P06, it does not snap into place and just seems to barely fit snug once completely pushed up into the pistol.  No matter how firm you push the mag up into the pistol, you can actually grab the base of the mag and pull it out by hand without even hitting the mag release.  It wont just fall out, as it does seem to rest up in their decently snug, but there is no doubt that with minimal effort I can pull the mag out with my fingers without using the mag release.

Sorry folks, but this is a BAD IDEA!!!

Dont waste your money like I did.   >:( >:( >:(

Have you tried opening up the magazine release catch?  Others have had to do that.

Mine locked in place without any modifications, sounds like yours needs about 10 seconds with a file to open the mag catch hole a bit. Remove the left grip and you will see where it needs filed down. If you don't want to mess with it I would gladly purchase the magazine from ya, just shoot a PM to me.

I bought 3 of the Rami mags (CZ is having 15% off in December).  I compared them to my new P-06 mags and they are completely identical except for length and magazine base.  The base is slightly off shape and too tall.  That is why the magazine will not lock up.

So, I took the spring out and sanded the top off the magazine base.  I used a medium course sand paper and kept refitting often.  I spent 5-10 minutes hand sanding them and paid particular attention to the front as the rear sands quickly down and the front seems to be the main mismatch.  I knew I was finished when the magazine release clicked out like it does with the original magazine.  There is still a significant amount of lip left on the base, but if it does crack in the future you can replace them through CZ or elsewhere easily.  This way you are locking the magazine as deep as it should be and not modifying the actual magazine.  Hope this helps anyone worried about this mod.

Now, as I said these magazines are almost exactly the same in parts.  Including the spring.  In my mind, I think the spring is too tight in these magazines.  I am sure it will weaken over time, but I can't help but think if a longer magazine uses the same spring, these springs could be shortened and it may help my thumbs and feeding.

Good post ccfilo! That is a much better solution than modifying the magazine catch! By removing some of the base plate, the magazine will still be compatible with the rami pistol.

Yup, This is the proper way to do it. I have had to do this with other magazines before. If you are not sure, take the base plate off he mag and see if the magazine body will lock in place. If it does that, all you have to do is file the base plate down a little. Making the locking slot larger may cause feed problems later as you are altering how high the magazine sits inside the gun. Depending on how much metal you remove from the slot, in most cases, it will not cause any issues but why take a chance if you don't have to?
